Our History

Three Decades of Innovation

1990s
Founded in Collaboration with Dutch Police
CatchSystems was founded in direct collaboration with the Dutch National Police — building the first generation of mobile LPR systems from the ground up to meet real operational law enforcement requirements.
1999
First Version of CatchKen Software
The first version of CatchKen, our dedicated ANPR management software, was brought to market — giving law enforcement agencies a single platform for plate capture, hitlist management, and operational reporting.
2010
Expansion to Neighbouring Countries
Following proven performance in the Netherlands, CatchSystems expanded into neighbouring countries — bringing mobile ANPR solutions to law enforcement agencies across Europe.
2015
Market Introduction of CatchCAM
CatchSystems introduced the original CatchCAM — at launch the world's smallest ANPR camera, enabling discreet installation in patrol vehicles and covert positions where no other camera could fit.
2022
CatchCAM 2MP — Second Generation
The second generation CatchCAM 2MP raised the bar with 2 megapixel resolution, embedded AI processing, and integrated infrared — still to this day one of the smallest ANPR cameras on the market with full on-board recognition.
2025
CatchCAM Modular — World's Smallest ANPR/LPR Camera
The CatchCAM Modular takes miniaturisation further by splitting core components into separate units — making the sensor head even smaller and enabling installation in the most space-constrained environments imaginable.
